Dalian Kowa Foods Co., Ltd was established in 1988. It is a supply chain enterprise focusing on the processing of seaweed, marine delicacies and agricultural products. Kowa Foods has six functions: production and processing, export, sightseeing experience, food research and development, seafood farming and customized services. It can undertake food processing, general trade, processing with supplied materials, processing with imported materials, technical consulting, catering services and other types of business.

At present, the company has set up supply chain center, research and development center, operation center, and tourism exhibition center. It has three factories, including raw material processing factory, shellfish processing factory, central kitchen, and five production lines of aquatic products, noodles, prefabricated dishes, seasonings, and fresh food. The main products are frozen prepared food, frozen rice and noodle products, seasonings, convenience food, dried aquatic products and salted aquatic products. Products are sold to more than 60 countries and regions.

Kowa Foods has more than 600 employees, including 24 R&D technicians and more than 400 front-line production personnel. Since its establishment, Kowa Foods has held 14 utility model technology patents, and has successively been awarded the honors of Liaoning Province's key leading enterprise, food production quality and safety demonstration unit, and the most innovative food brand. It is the president unit of Dalian Seaweed Industry Association, the deputy director unit of Dalian Marine Food and Biological Products Industry Alliance, the member of the Prefabricated Dishes Special Committee of the Chinese Food Science and Technology Association, and the member of the Japanese Bento Service Association. The seaweed salad, seafood fried noodles and seafood fried rice won the French Monte Prize in 2018.
